Small Plates…Big Tastes!

Upon entering the front door of this unassuming restaurant, one is immediately struck by the festive décor. Light woods, colorful walls, photos, prints, paintings and bright lighting invite you into one of the two rooms serving authentic Spanish Tapas. This family run restaurant invites you to explore a wide range of hot and cold tapas. Even though there are 30 different tapas on the menu, it is well organized clearly showing the hot, cold and salad selections. We asked the waiter for his suggestions and then planned our eating excursion.

We started our journey with 2 cold plates:
            – Solomillo Asado ala Sevillana;               Roast sirloin with garlic, peppers, and raspberry vinaigrette $7.50            – Salad Mediterreana;               Baby field greens, romaine, manchego cheese, and goat cheese croutons $7.95

We also sampled 3 hot tapas:

            – Gambas al Ajillo, the Spanish version of shrimp scampi;              shrimp, olive oil, and crushed red pepper $7.95            – Pato con peras;               Braised duck confit with mushrooms, pears, and port wine sauce $13.50            – Patatas Salteadas Picantes;

              Potatoes served with spicy sun dried tomato sauce $5.95

Although the wine list is not extensive, there are adequate selections of white and red wines, beers, and of course sangria. Specialty drinks, as well as the standard mixed variety, can be enjoyed at the 16 seat bar or your table.

Unassuming in style, family oriented in appearance, Sangria Tapas Bar…a place to go when sharing is part of your planned dining experience.
