Trend Micro causing slow network connections?

About 8am CST I noticed that some of our users are reporting extremely slow network speeds. Internet browsing basically unusable. Some local connections timing out.

We are halfway through migrating AWAY from TrendMicro. I noticed all machines affected are running TM. Exiting the agent, internet is working perfectly.

Anyone else have this issue? I don’t see anything reported on their status page.

Going to start disabling services to find the culprit I guess.

try in order:

- RESTART windows (restart, not power off and on);

- uninstall agent, restart computer, reinstall agent

- update visual c++ 2012 runtime and vc 2015-2017-2019-2022 runtime

Can I ask what av vendor your going to? TM is leaving here too.

They must have figured something out, about 11 everything was fine. All my CrowdStrike clients were fine.

Need to finish moving everyone over, have a few departments left.
